Here are the official report options and their meanings. Before reporting a post, ensure it violates a
site rule. Staff will review reports at their discretion and decide on any necessary action. Reporting does not guarantee action. To report rule violations without post evidence, like multiple accounts, please privately
message a staff member .
To report a post or thread, click the
Report button located at the bottom right-hand corner of the post or thread. Select the option that corresponds to the rule being violated, and then click the
Report Post button. If you're unsure which option to choose, refer to the descriptions provided below.
Blackhat Activity
OGUsers strictly prohibits any discussion of black hat activities as listed
here . Engaging in such discussions will result in a warning. Depending on the severity, staff may also issue a ban as deemed appropriate.
Out of Marketplace
All threads or posts related to buying, selling, trading, offering paid services, appraising, and auctioning must be posted in the Marketplace section. Users who post these types of threads outside the Marketplace tab will receive a warning.
Posting Guidelines
This category includes threads, posts, and characters within posts that are non-contributive, non-supportive, or generally incoherent. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following types and instances:
Avoid bypassing the 8-character minimum requirement for posts by using empty characters, invisible special characters, fillers, unnecessary text (such as "8char", "bump", "msg2short", or "tooshort"), or an excessive number of emojis.
Using memes to respond to discussions.
Deliberately employing broken English.
Engaging in trolling.
Directly repeating another user�s comments without adding new content.
Do not quote posts without contributing additional content, or if adding content, ensure your reply contains more than 8 characters (excluding the quoted content).
Other cases are subject to the discretion of the staff member handling the report. It's important to note that administrators, staff, mentors, and moderators overseeing their respective sections are exempt from this rule, as they are not subject to a character limit.
Wrong Forum
Threads that are not in the proper forum are to be reported using this option. Marketplace-style threads not located in the Marketplace should be reported
Marketplace Violation
Members are expected to maintain maturity and refrain from criticizing each other's sales threads. For a detailed list of violations related to this, please consult the referenced document . Below is a summary of these violations, which include the following:
- Posts or threads that breach the specific rules of the Marketplace sections.
- Bumping your own threads with irrelevant posts like "I am online," "Offering support," or "Still selling.
- Bumping someone else's thread with similar irrelevant posts, whether as a support team member or otherwise.
- Discouraging a sale without a valid reason.
- Directing attention to a competitor's thread.
- Posting and subsequently deleting posts to artificially bump threads.
Advertising Competing Site
OGUserss will not stand for the advertising of competing forums in any thread, post, or profile.
Harassment
This report option applies to any post or thread containing defamatory, hateful, racist, or otherwise threatening remarks directed at a user, multiple users, threads, or sections. Such posts could lead to multiple warnings as they also qualify as poor-quality posting.
Profile Violation
Users must adhere to all the profile guidelines mentioned here . Reporters should only report one post per user, and the Staff will take appropriate action as needed. Posts that confess to owning multiple accounts are also included in these rules.
Adult Content
Posts or threads should not include graphic images, links to, or discussions about adult content, gore, nudity, obscenity, vulgarity, or any other material unsuitable for those under the age of 18. Additionally, the buying, selling, trading, requesting, offering, appraising, and auctioning of related accounts are strictly prohibited.
Donation Begging
Content soliciting monetary donations, gifts, loans, or investments in any form is prohibited. Additionally, OGUsers does not permit the posting of threads or messages related to charity and fundraising.
Personal Information
Posts and threads must not include personal information about others, such as phone numbers, addresses, IP and email addresses, names, or any other contact details.
Infected
It is unacceptable to provide direct links to any malicious files, including Trojans, spyware, or malware, that could infect members.
Other
Policies, both old and new, that do not fit into any of the specified report categories or have not yet been assigned their own, will be classified under "Other." This option currently encompasses the following reasons:
- Threads that have been revived without adding value, often referred to as "gravedug" threads.
- Contests that have passed their expiration date, which are considered fake.
- Any post or thread that violates a sectional rule not covered by the other options.
